Sequoia National Forest
Sequoia National Forest is located in the southern Sierra Nevada mountains of California. The national forest is named for the majestic Giant Sequoia trees which populate 38 groves within the boundaries of the forest. The Giant Sequoia National Monument is located within the forest. Other notable features include glacier-carved landscapes and impressive granite monoliths.
The forest covers 4,630.55 km², and ranges in elevation from 1,000 feet (300 m) in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada to over 12,000 feet (3,700 m). Letea Forest is one of the oldest natural reservations in Romania. Letea forest is located between the Sulina and Chilia branches of Danube in the Danube Delta and it covers an area of aproximatively 2,825 ha.
This forest was the initial foundation of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve which has been declared a World Heritage Site and internationally recognized as a Biosphere Reserve under UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere Programme in 1992.

Sherwood Forest is a Royal Forest in Nottinghamshire, England, that is famous through its historical association with the legend of Robin Hood. Continuously afforested since the end of the Ice Age, Sherwood is today reduced to a 423 square kilometers remnant surrounding the village of Edwinstowe, the site of Thoresby Hall. Believed to date from 660 BC, this supreme shrine of Hitachi province is one of the three principal shrines in the Kanto region, along with Ikisu Shrine, also in Ibaraki, and Katori Shrine in Chiba prefecture.
