Mona Lisa
Mona Lisa (is also known as La Gioconda) is a 16th century portrait painted in oil on a poplar panel by Leonardo da Vinci during the Italian Renaissance. The work is owned by the Government of France and is on the wall in the Louvre in Paris, France with the title Portrait of Lisa Gherardini, wife of Francesco del Giocondo.
This figure of a woman, dressed in the Florentine fashion of her day and seated in a visionary, mountainous landscape, is a remarkable instance of Leonardo's sfumato technique of soft, heavily shaded modeling. Sistine Chapel
Sistine Chapel is the best known chapel in the Apostolic Palace, the official palace of the Pope in Vatican. Its fame rests on its architecture, evocative of Solomon's Temple of the Old Testament and on its decoration which has been frescoed throughout by the greatest Renaissance artists including Michelangelo, Raphael, Bernini, and Sandro Botticelli. Michelangelo painted 12,000 square feet of the chapel ceiling between 1508 and 1512. He resented the commission, and believed his work only served the Pope's need for grandeur. Today the ceiling, and especially The Last Judgement, are widely believed to be Michelangelo's crowning achievements in painting.

The Discobolus of Myron ("discus thrower") is a famous Roman marble copy of a lost Greek bronze original sculpture, the latter of which was completed between 460-450 BC. A discus thrower is presented about to release his throw. The moment captured in the statue is an example of harmony, rhythmus and balance.
